Volleyball Recap: Salisbury Elk Lick Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Shade, Salisbury Elk Lick was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They won by a set and slipped past the Bishop Walsh Spartans 3-2. The victory continues a trend for the Elks in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Salisbury Elk Lick took Bishop Walsh into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-16, 17-25, 25-17, 15-8.

Salisbury Elk Lick found their leader in freshman Alivia Hummel, who had seven digs and five aces.

Salisbury Elk Lick was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. They are 7-1-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Salisbury Elk Lick's win bumped their record up to 8-12-2. As for Bishop Walsh, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

Looking ahead, Salisbury Elk Lick will host Southern at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Walsh, they will head out to take on Turkeyfoot Valley Area at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
