Basketball Recap: Cheney Tech Skates Past Vinal RVT with Ease

There's no place like home for Cheney Tech, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They breezed by the Vinal RVT Hawks to the tune of 75-48 on Monday. The Chargers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 27 points or more this season.

Cheney Tech's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Isaiah Williams, who went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points and seven boards. What's more, Williams also racked up three assists, the most he's had since back in January of 2024. Another player making a difference was William Morales, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 14 points.

Cheney Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in 11 consecutive games.

Cheney Tech now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Vinal RVT, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-5.

Cheney Tech will have a chance to go back-to-back against Vinal RVT: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
