Basketball Recap: Boyd County Takes a Loss

Boyd County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Stuart Broncos 45-16. The Spartans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-5.

Boyd County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaylee Warnke, who posted six points. Warnke is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Elly Zeisler, who earned two points along with seven boards and four steals.

Even though they lost, Boyd County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.
