There's no place like home for Ferndale, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They won by a run and slipped past the Sedro-Woolley Cubs 7-6. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Joseph Bense was incredible, getting on base in six of his seven plate appearances with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Braylon O'Breen was another key player, getting on base in three of his six plate appearances with one run and one double.

Ferndale's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8. As for Sedro-Woolley, they dropped their record down to 7-10 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ferndale will take on rival Nooksack Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sedro-Woolley is set to square off against their familiar foe Lakewood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
