Garber extended their winning streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, bumping them up to 2-0. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Powers Catholic Chargers, sneaking past 24-21. For the Dukes, this counts as revenge for the 30-20 victory the Chargers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

As for Powers Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only two points.

Despite the loss, Powers Catholic still got an impressive performance from Jayce Beauchamp, who rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries.

Looking ahead, Garber will welcome Glenn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Dukes their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Powers Catholic, they are taking a road trip to take on Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
