Baseball Recap: Guilderland Takes a Loss

Guilderland and Colonie Central squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Guilderland had to settle for second. They lost 7-0 to the Wolfpack. The Flying Dutchmen haven't had much luck with the Wolfpack recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Guilderland saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Sweeney, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Guilderland's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Colonie Central, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 15-4.

While Guilderland had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
