Softball Recap: Berean Christian Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Northgate, Berean Christian was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Piedmont Highlanders. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Audrey Longtin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on one hit and racked up 13 Ks.

At the plate, Olivia Kundysek was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

Berean Christian's record is now 7-2. As for Piedmont, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berean Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Concord at 4:30 p.m. on the 15th. As for Piedmont, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against San Lorenzo at 4:00 p.m.
