Basketball Recap: Ida Comes Up Short

Ida was the 47-41 winner over St. Mary Catholic Central when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Ida Bluestreaks came up short against the St. Mary Catholic Central Falcons/Kestrels on Thursday, falling 68-47. While losing is never fun, the Bluestreaks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while the Falcons/Kestrels are ranked 32nd).

This is the second loss in a row for Ida and nudges their season record down to 12-10. As for St. Mary Catholic Central, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 21-1.

As of now, neither Ida nor St. Mary Catholic Central have any future games scheduled.
