Mount Paran Christian waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Holy Innocents Episcopal Golden Bears by a score of 2-0. The Eagles were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Golden Bears, so the Eagles were just returning the favor.

Mount Paran Christian easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20.

Layla Dunn paced Mount Paran Christian's offense, picking up nine kills. Dunn got some help from Avery Kohler and her 23 assists. Dunn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Mount Paran Christian's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Holy Innocents Episcopal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Mount Paran Christian and Holy Innocents Episcopal will both be playing Cartersville the next time they take the court. The Golden Bears will head out to face the Hurricanes at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Eagles will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
