Volleyball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Waxahachie Prep's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

After losing to Varsity Opponent the last time they met, Waxahachie Prep decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Warriors put the hurt on Varsity Opponent with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten Varsity Opponent on their court since October 14, 2016.

While Waxahachie Prep won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-22.

Madi Prohaska paced Waxahachie Prep's offense, picking up 19 kills. Prohaska got some help from Sarah Tupa and her 24 assists. Tupa was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Waxahachie Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-14-1 record this season.

Waxahachie Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Varsity Opponent has already played their next match (against Unity Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
