Softball Recap: Ashland's Losing Streak Snapped at Ten Games

Ashland had lost ten games straight , but after bumping their record up to 4-12 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Ontario Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Arrows have posted since March 28, 2024.

As for Ontario, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 16-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat they have suffered since April 12th.

For Ontario's part, Morgan Pearson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Maddie Mullins was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

Looking ahead, Ashland will square off against Madison Comprehensive at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ontario, they will take on Vermilion in a tournament on Tuesday.
