Football Recap: Northern Nash Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Northern Nash can now relate to. They fell 31-24 to the Middle Creek Mustangs on Friday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

A big part of Middle Creek's victory came down to the chemistry between Lex Sevilla and his top target Nicolas Bocciardi. Sevilla threw for 343 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per attempt while Bocciardi picked up 209 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Bocciardi's longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards. Jayden Spencer handled things on the ground, rushing for 113 yards.

Northern Nash's defeat dropped their record down to 11-2. As for Middle Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Northern Nash does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middle Creek, they will take on Jacksonville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least 31 points in their last five contests.
