It was a good run, but Aquinas unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westminster Schools of Augusta Wildcats. The Fightin' Irish were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Aquinas' loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Looking ahead, Aquinas will take on Augusta Prep at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Westminster Schools of Augusta, they will face off against Davidson Fine Arts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
