Baseball Recap: Quakertown Panthers vs. Whitehall Zephyrs
Quakertown came out on top against Whitehall on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run third inning. The Panthers were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Zephyrs. The victory was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Lochlan Everitt looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Quakertown got a massive performance out of Gerry Stanziola, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs and one triple. Another player making a difference was Justin Hankinson, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.
Quakertown now has a winning record of 11-10-1. As for Whitehall, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season.
Quakertown will host Plymouth Whitemarsh at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Whitehall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
