            Football Recap: Elbert Bulldogs vs. Simla Cubs        
        
		
        
        
            Elbert dropped to 6-3 on Saturday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They fell  41-34 to the Simla Cubs. The Bulldogs lost against the Cubs in their previous head to head  back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the  54-6 score last time.
 Ethan Tesman threw for 256 yards and three  TDs while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt.   Eli Cornell was his top target, picking up 174 receiving yards and four  scores.
As for Simla, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 32.5 points over those games.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Simla to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Ethan Kissam, who rushed for 187 yards and a pair of  touchdowns while picking up 7.8 yards per carry, and also picked up 63 receiving yards and one  score. Kissam was no stranger to the big play, lighting up the secondary with a catch that went for 50 yards.  Tatum Kocerha also helped out as he racked up 147 rushing yards.
 Elbert does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Simla, they will host South Park  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Cubs will be up against the Burros' rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.63  points per  contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
