Softball Game Preview: Klein Forest Eagles vs. Klein Collins Tigers

Klein Forest is on a five-game streak of home losses, and Klein Collins a five-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Klein Forest Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Klein Collins Tigers at 6:15 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Klein Forest came up short against Klein Cain on Tuesday, falling 14-1.

Klein Forest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaylee Garza-2029, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Genesis Mejia-2027 also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Klein Collins had taken Klein Cain down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. The Tigers lost 17-6 to the Hurricanes.

Kendyl James Braddick made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Genesis Garcia, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Klein Forest's loss dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Klein Collins, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-18.

Klein Collins' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Tuesday. Klein Forest has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Klein Collins, though, as they've been averaging only 2.1 strikeouts. Will Klein Forest keep running through batters, or will the Tigers buck the trend?

Everything went Klein Forest's way against Klein Collins in their previous meeting back in March, as Klein Forest made off with a 7-1 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
