Basketball Game Preview: Nicholas County Bluejackets vs. Pendleton County Wildcats

The Nicholas County Bluejackets will head out to take on the Pendleton County Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Nicholas County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five games.

Last Friday, Nicholas County was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 73-69 to Raceland. The Bluejackets have struggled against the Rams recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Pendleton County hadn't done well against Harrison County recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Wildcats strolled past the Thorobreds/Fillies with points to spare, taking the game 51-34. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Thorobreds/Fillies recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Pendleton County's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Nicholas County, their loss dropped their record down to 19-11.

Nicholas County beat Pendleton County 75-65 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bluejackets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
