Volleyball Recap: Blue River Valley Extends Winning Streak to Four

Blue River Valley had won three straight games and Bekah Grim did her part to make it four on Saturday. The Vikings came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Knightstown Panthers thanks in part to Grim, who had 24 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last seven times she's played.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (97-93) Blue River Valley actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-16, 12-25, 25-20, 15-11.

Ary Guzman and Peyton McDaniel certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Guzman had 18 digs and three aces, while McDaniel had 18 digs.

Blue River Valley's record now sits at 10-13. As for Knightstown, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-12 record this season.

Blue River Valley will venture away from home to take on Shenandoah at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Knightstown, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Lapel on the 6th.
