Baseball Recap: Palmer Trinity Snags Tenth Victory in Last 13 Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against NSU University, Palmer Trinity was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Coral Shores Hurricanes 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Falcons have posted against the Hurricanes since April 20, 2017.

Pedro Castillo tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March.

Palmer Trinity hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Coral Shores struck out nine times.

Palmer Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.2 runs over those games. As for Coral Shores, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-3-1.

Palmer Trinity has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 victory against TERRA Environmental on the 9th. As for Coral Shores, they will head out to face off against ABF Academy Homestead at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
