Baseball Recap: Sidney Takes a Loss

Sidney was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Laurel Locomotives, falling 17-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Locomotives this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in March.

Sidney's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Laurel, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-6.

Sidney has already played their next game (against Lockwood), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Laurel, they will venture away from home to square off against Shepherd at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.18 runs per game on average), something the Locomotives will no doubt try to take advantage of.
