Basketball Recap: Austin Comes Up Short

Austin was the 60-54 winner over Hewitt-Trussville when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Black Bears fell 58-47 to the Huskies on Tuesday.

Austin now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Hewitt-Trussville, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Austin will take on Bob Jones at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Black Bears will be up against the Patriots' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.63 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Hewitt-Trussville, they will square off against Gadsden City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
