Baseball Game Preview: Bonanza Bengals vs. Eldorado Firehawks

The Bonanza Bengals will take on the Eldorado Firehawks at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Eldorado took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Bonanza, who comes in off a win.

Bonanza took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Spring Valley a 3-0 shutout. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bengals as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

The result came thanks to Darren McGee's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Deegan Polson was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February.

Meanwhile, Eldorado didn't have quite enough to beat Moapa Valley on Tuesday and fell 9-8.

Bonanza's victory bumped their record up to 6-10-2. As for Eldorado, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
