Football Recap: Milan Starts Season with Victory Against Westfield Prep + How To Watch

Milan had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 43-0 win over the Westfield Prep Warriors. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Big Reds had established a 37-point advantage.

The critical scores for Milan came from JJ Woods, Elijah Blackmon, Cam Dessellier, Elijah Dotson, Xander Galanti, and Leland Varney.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Milan, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Varney, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Milan and Westfield Prep will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Big Reds will challenge rival Riverview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Westfield Prep is set to face off against their familiar foe Hamtramck at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
