Basketball Recap: Minneapolis South Tigers vs. Roosevelt Teddies

The Minneapolis South Tigers won against the Roosevelt Teddies on Wednesday with 74 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Wednesday. Minneapolis South strolled past the Teddies with points to spare, taking the game 74-57. The victory was familiar territory for Minneapolis South who now have five in a row.

Roosevelt lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Avery Wells, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Josiah Alexander was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and two steals.

Minneapolis South has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. As for Roosevelt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Minneapolis South is on the road again on Monday and plays the Millers at 7:00 p.m. on February 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Minnesota (Washburn is ranked 11th, while the Tigers are ranked 23rd). As for Roosevelt, they will head out on the road to take on the Polars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
