Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask CSTHEA). They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Non Varsity Opponent 11-9. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with Non Varsity Opponent: they've now won four in a row.

Thaxton Smith was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Deklan Burgess, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

CSTHEA always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

CSTHEA's win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. CSTHEA will venture away from home to take on Rocket City at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they will square off against Crosbyton at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Crosbyton and three for Non Varsity Opponent.
