Basketball Recap: Parkway West Takes a Loss

Parkway West lost against Lafayette back in March of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Parkway West Longhorns took a 60-42 bruising from the Lafayette Lancers. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 326th, while the Lancers are ranked 83rd).

Parkway West's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lafayette, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

The future could be bright for both Parkway West and Lafayette: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Parkway West will try to hand Parkway Central their seventh-straight loss when the two meet at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Similarly, Lafayette will look to extend Lindbergh's four-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st.
