Preview: Chinle Wildcats vs. Tuba City Warriors
The Chinle Wildcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Tuba City Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Chinle has four straight wins, Tuba City has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Wednesday, Chinle strolled past Ganado with points to spare, taking the game 56-37.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chinle to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jostaiah Harvey, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The game was Harvey's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Antwian Bahe, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Tuba City lost to Page on the road by a decisive 56-42 margin on Wednesday.
Chinle now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Tuba City, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7.
Chinle came up short against Tuba City when the teams last played back in January, falling 66-59. Thankfully for Chinle, Tayden Arizona (who scored 28 points along with five assists and three steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
