Righetti and Templeton are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Warriors will welcome the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Friday just wasn't the day for Righetti's offense. They came up short against St. Joseph on Friday, falling 8-0. Considering the last time the Warriors couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Meanwhile, after a string of ten wins, Templeton's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of Orcutt Academy by a score of 2-1.

Tegan Jay was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Templeton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Fiorenza, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Templeton's defeat dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Righetti, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-8.

Righetti took their win against Templeton in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 13-2 score. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
