Baseball Recap: Central Magnet Wins Going Away Against Spring Hill

Central Magnet lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Spring Hill, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's game. Central Magnet was the clear victor by a 12-6 margin over Spring Hill on Saturday. For Central Magnet, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 win Spring Hill walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2016.

Central Magnet let Thomas Sesler and Jensen Spry run wild. Sesler scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Spry scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. John Roth also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Central Magnet hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spring Hill struck out nine times.

Central Magnet's record is now 3-4. As for Spring Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Central Magnet will welcome Marshall County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Marshall County will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Central Magnet surely won't give up without a fight. As for Spring Hill, they will head out to take on Columbia Central at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Columbia Central's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Spring Hill's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
