Football Game Preview: Mechanicsville Mustangs vs. Henrico Warriors + Official Tickets

Mechanicsville is 2-8 against Henrico since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mustangs will face off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Friday, Mechanicsville was beaten by Hanover 40-10. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 261st, while the Hawks are ranked 45th).

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Henrico's offense. They were outmatched by Highland Springs and fell 77-0.

Henrico's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Mechanicsville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Mechanicsville might still be hurting after the 22-0 defeat they got from Henrico when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
