Volleyball Recap: Hugoton Takes a Loss

Hugoton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Cimarron Bluejays. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bluejays this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss last Tuesday.

Hugoton might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Cimarron: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23.

Kynlee Frink went supernova For Cimarron., getting 20 digs. That's the most digs Frink has posted over her last five matches.

Hugoton's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Cimarron, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Hugoton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Holcomb on the 27th. As for Cimarron, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Dodge City on the 27th.
