Dynamic duo of Ethan Fine and Kyler Hayes lead Cocke County to victory

Recap: Cocke County Fighting Cocks vs. Carter Green Hornets

The Cocke County Fighting Cocks lost to the Carter Green Hornets back in December of 2023, but the Cocke County Fighting Cocks didn't allow the Carter Green Hornets the same satisfaction on Friday. Cocke County came out on top against Carter by a score of 60-50. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cocke County.

Cocke County was led to victory by Ethan Fine and Kyler Hayes. Fine scored 16 points along with five rebounds and two blocks, while Hayes dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Fine continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Will Sutton was another key contributor, scoring three points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Cocke County's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Carter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cocke County will square off against Morristown-Hamblen West at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Carter, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Northview Academy at 3:30 p.m. on January 27th. Northview Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Carter likes a good challenge.
