Brewer got themselves on the board against Danville on Monday, but Danville never followed suit. They came out on top against the Danville Hawks by a score of 3-0. The victory continues a trend for the Patriots in their matchups with the Hawks: they've now won seven in a row.

Not much got past Karli Staton, who gave up just five hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Danville off the board. Furthermore, Staton didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in February of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Makenzie Irmen, who went 1-for-2 with three stolen bases and one RBI.

Brewer hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Brewer's win bumped their record up to 5-2-1. As for Danville, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brewer will venture away from home to take on Madison Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Danville, they will head out to face off against Tharptown at 4:30 p.m. on March 3rd.
