Soccer Game Preview: Stephens County vs. East Jackson

For the first time this season, Stephens County will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will face off against the East Jackson Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stephens County's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Friday just wasn't the day for Stephens County's offense. They came up short against White County on Friday, falling 6-0. That's two games in a row now that Stephens County have lost by exactly six goals.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when East Jackson took on Flowery Branch on Friday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Falcons.

Stephens County's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for East Jackson, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Stephens County couldn't quite get it done against East Jackson when the teams last played back in March of 2025 as they fell 4-2. Can the Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
