Volleyball Recap: Cobre Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

Cobre won the last time they faced Lordsburg and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Indians were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mavericks.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cobre was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-14, 25-12.

Hayley Gutierrez paced Cobre's offense, picking up 17 kills. Gutierrez got some help from Isis Dominguez and her 27 assists. Sami Huerta controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Cobre's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-3. As for Lordsburg, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cobre will host West Las Vegas at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lordsburg, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Reserve at 5:00 p.m.
