Volleyball Game Preview: Heritage Academy Heroes vs. East Valley Athletes for Christ Eagles

The Heritage Academy Heroes will face off against the East Valley Athletes for Christ Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Heritage Academy is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Pan-American as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Heroes in their matchups with Pan-American: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, East Valley Athletes for Christ put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over ASU Prep. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-5), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

East Valley Athletes for Christ's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. As for Heritage Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Heritage Academy beat East Valley Athletes for Christ 3-1 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Will the Heroes repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
