Basketball Game Preview: Jeffersonville Red Devils vs. Greenfield-Central Cougars

The Jeffersonville Red Devils will be taking part in a tournament against the Greenfield-Central Cougars at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Jeffersonville saw some tournament action on Saturday. They secured a 62-56 W over Indianapolis Crispus Attucks.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Greenfield-Central duked it out withLawrenceburg on Saturday. Greenfield-Central took their game with ease, bagging a 74-44 win over Lawrenceburg. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 40-20.

Jeffersonville better focus on containing Braylon Mullins and Michael Johnson as the pair were huge in Greenfield-Central's win. Mullins went 11 of 17 on his way to 27 points in addition to seven boards and five assists, while Johnson went 6 of 10 on his way to 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists. The contest was Mullins' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Boston Willard, who had seven points and seven assists.

Greenfield-Central's victory was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1. As for Jeffersonville, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Saturday's game is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Jeffersonville has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 40.9% of their three-pointers per game. However, it's not like Greenfield-Central struggles in that department as they've drained 49.6% of their three-pointers this season.
