Basketball Recap: Kansas' Higher State Rank on Full Display on Monday

Kansas won the last time they faced Colcord and things went their way on Monday too. The Kansas Comets came out on top against the Colcord Hornets by a score of 43-34. Given the Comets' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Hornets are ranked 386th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Kansas and bumps their season record up to 9-3. As for Colcord, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-14.

Kansas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-32 win against Salina on the 4th. As for Colcord, it'll be a Battle of the Bugs the Colcord Hornets duke it out with the Westville Yellowjackets at 5:00 p.m. on February 11th.
