Football Recap: Grant Piles Up the Points Against Antelope

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Grant). They breezed past the Antelope Titans to the tune of 49-10 on Friday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grant to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Nycum, who threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns while completing 92.9% of his passes. Malikii Lavern helped Nycum out on the ground, rushing for 100 yards and one TD on only five carries.

Grant was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2024.

The win was the third in a row for Grant, bringing their record up to 5-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.3 points on average over those games. As for Antelope, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Grant will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Cordova at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th. As for Antelope, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 29-23 loss against Destiny Christian Academy on the 24th.
