Basketball Recap: Northview Comes Up Short

Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rogers Rams. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 276th, while the Rams are ranked 128th).

Northview's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Rogers, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northview will venture away from home to square off against Napoleon at 7:15 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Rogers, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Southview at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Southview knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Rogers likes a good challenge.
