Basketball Game Preview: Tuttle Tigers vs. Bethany Bronchos

The Tuttle Tigers will face off against the Bethany Bronchos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

If Tuttle beats Bethany with 58 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. Tuttle enjoyed a cozy 58-41 victory over Mannford on Saturday. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Pirates are ranked 210th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Bethany's way against Ponca City on Saturday as Bethany made off with a 60-37 win. The Bronchos have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 23 points or more this season.

Tuttle pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.2 points per game. As for Bethany, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Tuttle suffered a grim 53-32 defeat to Bethany in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Thankfully for Tuttle, Zya Vann (who went 7 of 10 on her way to 19 points along with five rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
