Volleyball Game Preview: Berkeley Yellowjackets vs. El Cerrito Gauchos

The Berkeley Yellowjackets will face off against the El Cerrito Gauchos at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Berkeley duked it out with Alameda. in a bug-themed battle on Friday. Berkeley fell 3-1 to Alameda. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Berkeley couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Alameda a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 29-31, 25-14, 25-23.

If Hercules wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played El Cerrito, they should've done a better job of containing Austin Lowe. El Cerrito blew past Hercules 3-0 on Wednesday which was due in part to Lowe, who had 19 assists. He has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more assists the last four times he's played.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-17.

El Cerrito has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. Berkeley now has a losing record of 3-4.
