Basketball Recap: Discovery Comes Up Short

Discovery suffered their closest loss since February 5th on Friday. They fell just short of the Central Gwinnett Black Knights by a score of 50-47. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Titans have suffered against the Black Knights since December 16, 2019.

Central Gwinnett's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Josiah Hall, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Holiday, who posted 11 points.

Discovery is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-4. As for Central Gwinnett, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Discovery wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 65-50 win against Greene County on the 10th. As for Central Gwinnett, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-41 victory against Walnut Grove on the 7th.
