Baseball Game Preview: Bainbridge Spartans vs. Issaquah Eagles

The Bainbridge Spartans will square off against the Issaquah Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

Issaquah will be up against a hot Bainbridge team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Spartans came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against WF West.

Meanwhile, Issaquah sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Lake Washington on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Kangaroos: they've now won three in a row.

Issaquah's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Nathan McBride, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave McBride a new career-high.

Issaquah's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.67 runs across that stretch. As for Bainbridge, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-1.
