Softball Preview: Castor Tigers vs. Dodson Panthers
Castor is 10-0 against Dodson since March of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Castor Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Dodson Panthers at 4:00 p.m. Castor is no doubt hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
On Monday, Castor suffered a rough 15-5 defeat at the hands of Captain Shreve.
Ambree Collinsworth made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Even though Dodson couldn't quite topple Sicily Island on Friday, it was still a huge improvement compared to the 15-point loss they took when the two last played. Dodson never let Sicily Island onto the board and left with an 8-0 win. The victory was just what Dodson needed coming off of a 15-0 defeat in their prior match.
Castor's loss dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Dodson, their win bumped their record up to 5-18.
Everything went Castor's way against Dodson when the teams last played back in February as Castor made off with a 16-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Castor since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
