Baseball Recap: Norristown Takes a Loss

Norristown lost against Pope John Paul II on Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles lost 8-2 to Pope John Paul II.

Norristown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Angelo Salamone, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Norristown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Pope John Paul II, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Coming up, Norristown will head out on the road to square off against Strath Haven at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Pope John Paul II does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
