Baseball Recap: Sigourney Extends Road Winning Streak to 12

Sigourney strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let the Davis County Mustangs get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The eight-run effort marked the Savages' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Sigourney's win was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Davis County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-7.

Sigourney didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-0 win against Colfax-Mingo on the 6th. As for Davis County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-0 loss against Chariton on the 6th.
