Soccer Game Preview: Hinckley-Big Rock vs. Harvest-Westminster

The Hinckley-Big Rock Royals will face off against the Harvest-Westminster Warrior-Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Hinckley-Big Rock comes in on 12 and Harvest-Westminster on nine.

Hinckley-Big Rock proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by four) and last Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They beat Somonauk by a goal, winning 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Hinckley-Big Rock were the better team in the second half.

Sawyer Smith and Gavin Pickert scored both of Hinckley-Big Rock's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 43 goals.

Meanwhile, Harvest-Westminster beat Genoa-Kingston 5-3 on Tuesday. Given Harvest-Westminster's advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 151st, while Genoa-Kingston are ranked 337th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harvest-Westminster's victory bumped their record up to 21-3-1. As for Hinckley-Big Rock, their win bumped their record up to 16-3-2.
