Softball Recap: Niles West Takes a Loss

If Niles West was riding high fresh off their 9-0 takedown of Lincoln Park last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wolves took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Glenbrook North Spartans on Saturday. The match marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Niles West saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ava Kolbe, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Kolbe's first of the season.

Niles West now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Glenbrook North, the win snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Looking ahead, Niles West will head out to face off against Prospect at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Glenbrook North, they will be playing at home against Rolling Meadows at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
