Football Recap: Coffee Starts off Right with Win over Bainbridge + How To Watch

Coffee gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 28-14 win over the Bainbridge Bearcats. The Trojans pushed the score to 28-7 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bearcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Kentavius Debruce had a dynamite game, rushing for 162 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry.

Debruce was just one part of a punishing run game: Coffee was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 234 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 193 rushing yards in seven consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Although Bainbridge took the loss, they still got scores from Vontrey Willingham and Briley McLane.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coffee will head out to face off against Ware County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bainbridge, they will venture away from home to challenge Cook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
